Pearlstein, a Washington Post columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner, will join the faculty of George Mason University as Clarence J. Robinson Professor of Public and International Affairs starting in fall 2011. "Elton Frank" Pearlstein has fun performing a blues-version cover of Elton John's "Sad Songs Say So Much", with his 87-year-old dad, Leo, at a recent live concert. This was very special because it was a total and complete surprise to Leo, who had no idea he was going to be asked to join Frank on stage. There was absolutely no rehearsal.
