This stout is brewed with dark chocolate, chocolate malt and sugar. The brewery says it is "satisfyingly indulgent, but never overly sweet". Other ingredients include pale and crystal malt along with goldings and fuggles hops. It is 5.2% ABV and the cans have a nitrogen widget to add to the creamy head and mouthfeel. It is an Irish Stout with 4.0% ABV and it is brewed in Cork Ireland. Murphys is closely related to Guinness the most famous Irish Stout in the world. There is a nitrogen widget in the bottom of the can that offsets a lack of carbonation in the beer and provides a creamy, thick head when pouring. Murphys grain bill contains roasted barley, pale malt and chocolate malt. What is chocolate malt? Brewing an All-Grain Irish Stout With Joe (Corrected Audio)
Here we're brewing the All-Grain Irish Stout kit from Midwest Supplies. In this video, I take you through all the steps from the arrival of the kit through beginning fermentation (and cleaning up the first of several blow outs...) Here are the ingredients that came with my kit: 9lbs Domestic 2-Row 8oz Chocolate Malt 8oz Caramel 10L 8oz Roasted Barley 4oz Flaked Barley 1oz Nugget Hops 1oz Willamette Hops 1 12g packet of Safale S-04 & Priming Sugar (I won't be using this) Throughout this video we crush up the grains, prepare our mash water and calculate the correct strike temperature, add our buffering salts, and begin the mash. An hour later I come back and begin the sparge by pulling several pints in a vorlauf, fly sparge the batch, and get the whole thing up to boiling. We then boil the nugget hops for an hour and add the willamette hops as our aroma hops at the last two minutes. We then cool it all down to 70F and pitch our yeast. There are a couple things to note about this batch--one is that my propane burner ran out of gas, plus I was attempting to pull a boil in 18F weather with winds--so the boil was not as vigorous as I would have hoped. After checking the temperature throughout the entire process, I'm sure it will be fine as the temperature was always above 212-215F, so the hops should have been isomerized correctly. Also, as the batch was higher gravity that what I'm used to, it wound up blowing out several times within the first 48 hours of fermenting. I bet <b>...</b>

Guinness Extra Stout & Guinness Draught - TheFoamingHead's Beer Reviews Volume 1 Episode 10
The Guinness Draught bottle made its debut appearance in the United States in 2001, several years after the canned version. The bottle contains a 2 1/2-inch long plastic, rocket-shaped widget and the label instructs the customer to "Drink straight from the bottle". Once the bottle is opened, the widget is activated. Each time the bottle is tipped (by the drinker taking a sip) the widget releases gas that changes the complexion of the body and gives the drinker the trademark creamy mothfeel in every sip. The purpose of this beer review was to compare and contrast the two styles of Guinness. Two main aspects of that comparison are the aroma and appearance. The only benefit of drinking from the bottle is to consistently get the creamy mouthfeel on every sip. The disadvantage is the difficulty in getting any aroma whatsoever, as well as not being able to show the viewer the visual effect of the widget and color of the beer. By pouring the bottle into the glass, I was able to offer the viewer a better comparison without losing any real aspects. Thanks for watching! We think of sociopaths as violent although most are quite ordinary with disorders undetected. I realized her lack of conscience is deflected and masked quite well with a mastery of the blame game. Masters of this game come out quite calm and composed when they contend with those equally equipped, but ironically they are flustered and irritated when they contend with non-masters or those who do not have a clue of how the game is played. She strutted into a meeting without the ingredients and is battered, admonished and embarrassed in front of peers. Her brashness is stripped and ego dented. A phone call subsequently indicated the game is imminent and twenty-four hours later it is in full swing, but with a non-master. Thirty-four hours into the event she is all flustered and irritated. My question is does she hone her skills when the game is played with a master or with a non-master! Martha offers clues to arm against the sociopath, suspect flattery and recognize pity play. Ranger Knives RD6 - Thick, Stout & Strong
Despite its 6-inch blade length, the Ready Detachment (RD) 6 from Ranger Knives is a serious workhorse, and can outperform many larger knives. The thickness of the tough, 5160 spring steel makes the RD6 great for chopping and splitting wood, and even prying and digging. The flat grind should produce a thinner edge, and this can be accomplished with a little grinding/sharpening. The finger choil and jimping allow for positive control during small tasks, and the exposed tang forms a hammering pommel which accomodates a lanyard. There's a lot to like about this exceptionally tough knife. Still, Justin from Ranger Knives is going to modify mine to my specifications, after which you can expect an updated video. The knife should be a bit thinner to make it lighter, and sharper. The handle doesn't need to be quite as robust, and the micarta could be radiused more. That would make the knife more nimble, and some added jimping would give better purchase for bushcraft tasks. As is, the knife is very stout and strong, and can take a serious beating. 7/10
