Canon Powershot SX40 Hs Tutorial: Step Ten - Filters and protecting your lens!
Just a run through of the filters I own and how you can apply them to the Powershot SX40 HS. Filters are great fun and also an ideal way to protect that fragile lens from any form of damage. I bought the filter adapter through amazon but the provider is powerplanet.co.uk, if you go to their site it will divert you through to Amazon. The lens adaptor is the LA-58SX30. You can type that straight into amazon and it will show up :) Since making this video, many people have bought 67mm filters rather than the 58mm. Canon offer this as the main filter so it's an idea to go with Canons advice. I already owned many 58mm filters so it makes sense for me to get that one. Both work but you may be able to stack more filters without cropping with the 67mm. Le Canon en ré majeur sur une basse obstinée de Johann Pachelbel fait partie d'une pièce de musique de chambre baroque, écrite aux alentours de 1680 pour trois violons et une basse continue. Œuvre au caractère solennel et majestueux, à quatre temps lents et imposants (généralement autour de 60 à la noire), d'une durée d'un peu moins de quatre minutes, le canon était à l'origine suivi d'une courte gigue à 12/8, rarement jouée[1]. Très populaire, ce morceau a été vulgarisé et arrangé pour les instruments les plus divers et dans les styles les plus variés, oubliant souvent sa forme de canon et son écriture polyphonique.

WuHuaPao (5 Flower Canons) Boxing is one of the more advanced Forms/Sets of the Liu He Quan (Six Harmonies Boxing) Style from Cangzhou, Hebei Province For Further information please see: www.satirio.com Liuhequan is considered an ancient martial art, the earliest records however date to the Ming dynasty. A famous warrior Zhang Ming passed through Qingzhen Balizhuang in Botou village, Hebei Province, when he collapsed as he was injured and had been ill. A hui zu (Chinese Moslem) named Cao Zhenpeng took the injured warrior into his home and gave him medical attention. As a result Zhang Ming was indebted and passed his martial arts skills to Cao Zhenpeng. Master Zhang would watch how diligent and ardiously every morning Cao Zhengpeng practised and was impressed by his dedication and development that he also passed on all his boxing and martial skills, including boxing manuals to him. The art was Liuhequan. Cao Zhenpeng only taught his son Cao Sheng who in turn passed the art to Shi Jinke, Shi Changchun and Zhang Maolong. Since the great master Zhang Ming made a point of advising Cao Zhenpeng not to transmit the art easily, It is only in the fourth generation that the art commenced being taught to others. Shi Jinke taught around 18-20 disciples, who all became well known in the martial world. These include Heixunfengshenliqianjinwang (Black tornado Spirited, Strength of 1000 Catties King) Shi Jinsheng. Others included Shi Jinhe, Shi Qingzhen, Tian Kechun and Li Guanming.

About the performance: the canon is played using not only the instruments but also the bowing techniques from the time of Pachelbel. As you can see from the video, especially if you look at the high definition version, the string instruments are not only baroque, but they are in baroque setup: this means that the strings, fingerboard, bridge and other parts of the violin appear just as they did in Pachelbel's time. No metal hardware such as chinrests, clamps or fine tuners are used on the violins, allowing the violins to vibrate freely. A good example of baroque bowing can be seen in the extended passage of repeated notes: the musicians play these notes on one bow—the shorter & lighter baroque bow—to created a gliding effect. The players also hold the bow very differently which affects the balance and touch. Both the style and the amount of vibrato are based on baroque treatises which describe the methods for playing, bowing & articulation in the late 17th century.
